In 2019, we teamed up with NBA official partner Kumho Tire for the second year in a row to produce a national broadcast campaign to coincide with the start of that year’s NBA Playoffs.
As the official tire sponsor of the NBA, we worked alongside both the brand and the NBA to handpick the talent that would be featured in the campaign. With the Brooklyn Nets making a late surge to be the last team in the playoffs, we took a gamble and zeroed in on star point guard, D’Angelo Russell. The risk paid off, as the Nets locked up their playoff spot shortly before our shoot, with Russell making waves nationally as the league’s man of the moment, as well as the cover star of SLAM magazine.
